Team Illusion met on Sunday, 1/12/14 to finish up prototypes and start work on customizing our chassis. We will be configuring the robot 6 Cim Motors so that we will have maximum "pushing" power.
The catapult prototype continues to evolve and the "hugger" mechanism is being worked on throughout the day. The students are learning how to use the drill press, the table saw and many hand tools. They are learning about the wisdom of the "measure twice, cut once" rule when it comes to making careful measurements before drilling holes and cutting wood.
It has been a very productive time and the students have enjoyed the hospitality of various families as they provide food for the team and mentors.
