Team Illusion had the immense privilege of being invited to help assemble the DC FIRST's Aerial Assist Field at McKinley High School. We brought 12 students and had many parents and college mentors there as well. There were three students from Team 1915 as well.
We were able to lay the carpet and get the sides and basic ends completed. The High and Low Goals are to be made locally by a carpenter, and the center 5' Truss is set to come in later in the month. After assembling the field we were able to practice some of the concepts of the game by pretending to be robots and passing the ball from player to player.
We had a lot of fun as well as gaining some insight into some of the intricacies of the game.
